General Qs

What are Flavor Powders?

Our flavor powders give you full control over how your shakes taste. We decided to challenge the traditional protein powder which is a ‘fixed flavor’. With Anyway Protein, we seperate the flavor from the protein so you can flavor your protein shakes easily at home or in the gym.

Now you can finally enjoy your shakes. You can also easily adjust the protein to flavor ratio per shake.  Throughout the week you can change the flavors and even combine them together to make your own signature combo.

How many calories per shake?

With 1 serving of our Pea Protein Powder and 1 serving of our Flavor Powder (two scoops), there are 116 calories per shake. You can increase this by using plant milk instead of water, by adding it to a smoothie with other ingredients, or by adding an additional scoop of Flavor Powder or Pea Protein Powder.

Alternatively, you can reduce the calories per shake by doing a half-serving of pea protein and/or flavor powder.

Is pea protein a complete protein?

A common myth is that plant proteins are “incomplete proteins”. Plant protein sources have all 9 amino acids in varying amounts.

Pea protein is lower in the amino acid, methionine, which is why it is important to have a wide variety of protein sources in your daily diet to meet your amino acid requirements.

At Anyway Protein, our approach is to supplement your diet with simple and tasty ingredients, not to replace your diet.

How much protein should I consume per day?

Athletes typically consume between 1.2 to 2 grams of protein a day per KG of body weight (0.5 to 0.9 grams per LB).

Someone that does not exercise may consume between 0.8-1.3 grams of protein per KG of body weight (0.36 to 0.6 grams per LB).

Whilst we love talking about protein, we recommend you discuss with a registered dietitian or your doctor to decide the right amount of protein for your needs and goals

Should I use protein shakes as a meal replacement?

Protein supplements are meant to “supplement” your diet, not replace it. If you are going to use our protein as a meal, you may consider using it in a smoothie with added carbohydrates and healthy fat sources to make it a complete meal.

Can you build muscle with pea protein?

Pea protein contains adequate amounts of BCAA’s (leucine, isoleucine, and valine) which are amino acids most directly related to muscle growth.

Additionally, you may consider consuming a well balanced diet along with adequate and consistent training and sleep to promote optimal muscle development.
